Orthopedic conditions encompass a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders that affect bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are among the most common joint disorders, often leading to chronic pain and impaired mobility. In recent years, surgical management has evolved, with minimally invasive techniques gaining traction. These procedures, such as arthroscopy and robotic-assisted surgery, reduce tissue trauma, accelerate recovery, and improve precision in joint alignment. For conditions like osteonecrosis, new treatments like core decompression and bone grafting aim to preserve joint integrity and prevent the need for joint replacement. The treatment of bone tumors has also seen major advancements. Limb-sparing surgeries, combined with modern chemotherapy and radiation therapies, have increased survival rates and preserved function. For conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome and tendon injuries, endoscopic techniques provide quicker recovery times, less scarring, and reduced risk of complications. Biologic treatments, including stem cell therapy and platelet-rich plasma (PRP), are gaining popularity for their ability to enhance healing and regenerate damaged tissues. Additionally, orthopedic oncology has benefited from improved imaging techniques, which help surgeons better plan and execute tumor resection while minimizing damage to surrounding tissues. As new technologies continue to emerge, orthopedic interventions are becoming increasingly precise and effective, helping patients recover faster, with fewer complications and better long-term outcomes.
