Atul Saini was born in Oslo, Norway where he spent the first few years of my life before stopping in India and eventually America when he was 2. He grew up in Santa Rosa, CA along the outskirts of wine country. He attended the University of California Santa Barbara, graduating with a degree in Physiology and then attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. During medical school, he completed a clinical research project on a novel fixation for patella at Cedars Sinai. He developed an interest in orthopaedics from an early age through breaking his arm 2 times to the stories his mom, an orthopaedic nurse, would tell him stories from her work. This experience, combined with his love for sports and the musculoskeletal system, led him toward pursuing orthopedics. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, hiking, traveling, cooking, working out, and watching sports.
