Juan Boluda-Mengod is the functional head of Orthopaedic Trauma Unit and the president of Polytrauma Committee at Hospital Universitario Canarias (HUC), Tenerife, Spain. He is Fellow of the International Orthopaedic Trauma Association (IOTA) and AOTrauma faculty (AO Spain). He is performing his PHD at the Universidad de La Laguna (ULL) focusing on tibial plateau fractures. He is the main author of the recent publication in the Injury journal “A Proposal of a New Algorithm for Decision-Making Approaches in Open Reduction and Internal Fixation of Complex Tibial Plateau Fractures – SOTA Algorithm (Spanish Orthopaedic Trauma Association)”.
